BLANKENSHIP, LOIS WILSON died 16 Nov 1992

Lois Wilson Blankenship, age 68, of Oneida, passed away early Monday morning, November 16, 1992 at the Lifecare Health Center in Wartburg, following a lingering illness.

She was born in Winfield, Tennessee, on August 6, 1924, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida. She was a retired employee of the Southern Railway and will be remembered by her family and friends as a very loving and caring person.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Don Blankenship, in August of 1990; mother, Alva Wilson; and brother, Bernard Wilson. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Harness and husband Keith, of Oneida; one daughter, Amy Donelle Harness; her father, Carl Wilson of Winfield; one brother, Roger Wilson of Winfield; three sisters: Gloria Walker and husband, Jim, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Helen Cross and husband Maynard, of Winfield; and Clara Taylor of Harrison, Ohio. A special friend, Betty Delk of Oneida, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 18, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Burial followed in the Scott County Memorial Gardens. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Oneida, had charge of arrangements.
