Ruthie Faye Runyon, 80, of Olney, died at 11:18 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Mrs. Runyon was born May 7, 1927, in Christopher, the daughter of Henry and Rosetta (Farris) Hall. She married Aden J. Runyon Jr. on December 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1976.

She worked for International Shoe Factory and Union Frondenberg. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Mrs. Runyon is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Runyon Pretty and Patricia Runyon Cannon; sister, Velma Tewell; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Eva and Daisy; and brothers, Lawrence, Roy, Larry, Ray and Vernie.

Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Pflaum officiating.

Burial was in Crest Haven Memorial Park in rural Claremont.
