Virginia D. Stewart, 79, of Goreville, passed away at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Mrs. Stewart was born on April 23, 1925 in Neelyville, Missouri to Dempsey Miller and Nancy Mae (Sheely) Cole. She married Harry W. Stewart on May 8, 1943 in St. Charles County, Missouri; he preceded her in death on February 3, 1992.
Survivors include sister, Rosalind B. Eleam of Shawnee, Kansas; brother-in-law, Charles B. Luttrell of Goreville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Stella Mae Luttrell and Dean Beck; and brother, Gene Cole.
