Mrs. Irene V. Downs, 330½ Brown street, Davenport, died in Mercy hospital at 7:30 o'clock this morning following an illness of two years. She had resided in Davenport since 1917.
Mrs. Downs, the former Irene Graham, was born in Grant, Neb., July 4, 1892, and attended schools in that city and in Davenport. She was married to Wilbur V. Downs on Aug. 1, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa. She was of Protestant faith.
Surviving are the widower and a sister, Mrs. Henry DeCosta, East Moline.
Funeral services will be held in the Hill & Fredericks chapel at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
