North Attleboro, MA – Alyssa L. Pastore, 43, formerly of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved daughter of Thomas M. and Robin L. (Matteson) Pastore of North Attleboro, and Kathleen M. (Paradis) Pastore of Destin, Florida.

Alyssa graduated from Cumberland High School and grew up in Cumberland prior to moving to North Attleboro twenty years ago. She lived her life for her son and battled cancer fiercely for the past ten years. Each new day gave her an opportunity to be present as a mother to her son, who was the light of her life. She remained active and was a member of Sturdy Memorial Hospital's Dance Club, Health-Steps, where she kept patients motivated with her optimistic outlook and positive attitude. She was honored Patient of the Year by Sturdy Memorial Hospital for her efforts and strength as she fought to overcome this terrible disease. Alyssa was surrounded by an amazing family filled with support, love and dedication to her fight. Her spirit, smile and presence will be greatly missed, especially by her loving son.

Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her beloved son, Thomas M. Pastore, II. of North Attleboro; a brother, Bradford R. Matteson, Jr., also of North Attleboro, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Teresa church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with her late grandparents and uncle in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.
