MEED
The remains of Mrs. Bessie VanWinkle Meed were brought here Tuesday from Lexington and interred on the lot of Mrs. J. M. Dalton with a short service at the grave by Rev. S. S. Daughtry. Mrs. Meed was a native of Mercer county, but a number of years ago went to Sacramento, California, where she was for many years with a cousin, and married there. About seven years ago she was partially paralyzed and her mind somewhat affected, and she was placed in the Eastern Kentucky Hospital at Lexington. A few weeks ago she fell and injured her hip and this was the cause of her death. She was a splendid Christian woman (and) is remembered by many friends here. A brother, Mr. Ephriam VanWinkle, of Harrodsburg, and a sister, Miss Lutie VanWinkle, of Decatur, Ill. survive her.
