Edna M. Wesner, 78, of Lewisburg, died Oct 15, 2003, at her home. She was born May 14, 1925 in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Elias and Viola (Wilhour) Hale. Mrs. Wesner attended Shamokin High School.

She was a dietary worker for 10 years at the Selinsgrove Center.

Mrs. Wesner was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Milton, where she was active in the choir and taught the adult Sunday school class.

She married Richard A. Wesner, who survives. They would have celebrated their seventh anniversary Oct. 26.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Robert Wert Jr. of Saddlebrook, CA, and James Wert of Hummels Wharf; one daughter, Donna Vidler of Ithaca, NY; five grandchildren; four stepchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Hale of Ranshaw; and one sister, Ruth Wyland of Ranshaw.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Wert Sr.; three brothers; and one sister.

Burial will be in the Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
