Stephen Michael Brown, better known as Mike, age 66 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away at 10:25pm on Friday, January 20, 2023.
Mike was born February 6, 1956 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was the fourteenth of fifteen children born to the late Winton Cecil Brown and Bertha Mabe Brown Knowles.
Mike worked 31 years at Mallory before retiring from Rhythm. He was an avid University of Tennessee football fan and a longtime member of North Sparta Church of God. His greatest joy was being his grandchildren's Poppy.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death his son Justin Derrick Brown; daughter Vanessa Simmons Edmonds; brothers Denny, Benny, Edward, Bracket and Charles Brown; sisters Ena Mae Dickenson, Eva and Martha Brown.
Mike is lovingly survived by his wife of 34 years Georgia Young Brown;
Two daughters: Chasity Brown (Shea) Keltner and LaToya Simmons and fiance' Johnny Baum all of Tennessee;
Grandchildren: Chloe Livingston, Karlee Edmonds, Hayleigh Cunningham, Ally Edmonds, Kennedi Sherrell, Lylah Keltner and Finley Keltner;
Sisters: Joanna Golden, Carolyn (Robert) Norris, all of Tennessee; Johnny David (Linda) Brown of New York, James (Phyllis) Brown, Melvin (Carey) Brown; Ernie Brown all of Tennessee:
A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be conducted from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Bon Air Cemetery;
Steve Gerhart will officiate.
Jody Pittman, Morgan Young, Justin Cunningham, Randy Norris, Jimmy Brown, Joel Brown and Ronnie Brown will serve the family as pallbearers.
