Carol Bunnell McLaurin, age 82, of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Cape Fear
Valley Hospital. She was born July 18, 1940 in Parkton, North Carolina to the late Daniel Glenn Bunnell
and Sarah Ivey Bunnell.
Carol dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time
with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bobby McLaurin; and
three brothers: Hoyt Bunnell of Fayetteville, NC; Robert Bunnell of Parkton, NC; and Milton Bunnell of
Parkton, NC. She is survived by her son Michael Glenn McLaurin of Elizabethtown, NC; her daughter
Brenda McLaurin Pearson (Mark) of Charlotte, NC; her daughter Gail McLaurin Flowers (Billy) of Linden,
NC; her eight grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Tiffany, Dustin, Lindsay, Taylor, Kevin, and Mackenzie; 10
great-grandchildren; her sister Margaret Novosel of Fort Walton Beach, FL; her brother Carl Bunnell
(Sherry) of Fayetteville, NC; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
