Charles was born December 11, 1946, to Charles and Mary Alice Cook Adams in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He was of the Baptist faith. Gambler was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising ducks and chickens. He was a truck driver for many years—he loved trucking —especially anything with 18 wheels! Gambler also enjoyed working on small engines.
Gambler is survived by his loving wife of 29.5 years, Mary Ann Adams; and five children: James Adams, Ray Adams, Patrick (Sarah) Adams, Christie Adams, and Nicole Adams. One of his greatest joys was being "PawPaw" to his granddaughter, Morgan, who was "PawPaw's pride and joy;" and he was looking forward to the birth of two more grandchildren, Callie and Colton, this summer. He is also survived by his siblings: Butch Adams (Jimmie Lou Alawine), Becky Jordan, Carol (Fred) Tanksley, Faye (Marty) Coatney, Ricky (Donna) Adams, Randy Adams, and Billy (Sara) Adams; as well as, many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Gambler was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dean and Lane Adams.
Serving as pallbearers are James Adams, Ray Adams, Patrick Adams, and Tyler Hodges. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Nowell-Massey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses
