Blanche Esther Simmons, born May 17, 1909, died May 2, 2009, of Hinsdale, formerly of Channahon and West Chicago. Dearest wife of the late William L. Simmons and beloved mother of Grace (James) Adcock of Naperville, IL, Arlene (Elmer) Giacchetti of Lemont, IL, Blanche (Dale) Marting of West Chicago, IL, Virginia (Richard) Kresge of Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy (Alvin) Moss of Channahon, IL; grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 26; great-great-grandmother of nine; dear aunt of many. Our loss is heavens' gain. She is now in the arms of the Savior she so devotedly loved and served, Jesus Christ. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside where Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery.
