Douglas Hay, age 85, of Hilliard went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

He had been a member of Hayden Baptist Church for 67 years where his life was given in service to the Lord by serving the church. He served as a trustee and deacon for many years.

Doug loved greeting everyone as they came into and left the church.

He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Auda Hay; brothers Proctor, Conrad, and James Hay and sister Gretta Harrington.

Survived by sister-in-law, Delores Hay and numerous nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind wife of 64 years, Clarice Ann; son Steve (Cheryl) Hay; daughter Sharon (Dan) Crowley; grandchildren, Derrick Hay and Lindsey Crowley.

Friends may call at the Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Friday, January 20 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm where the Homegoing service will be held Saturday, January 21 at 10:00am. Rev. Greg Mason and Rev. Bill Webb will officiate. Interment will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Samaritans Purse.
