Timothy, son of of Hezekiah, b. in Dedham, 20. Apr. 1746; resided on the homestead near Pegan Hill; served in Capt. Ebenezer Battelle's company at Lexington, 19 Apr. 1775; also under same captain, Col. Mcintosh's regiment, detailed to take possession of Dorchester Hill and fortify it in March, 1776, serving six days. 10 Dec. 1776, he enlisted in Capt. Ahel Mason's company, Col. Jonathan Holmes' regiment, for service in Rhode Island, and served seventeen days; enlisted again 7 Aug., 1780, under same captain in Col. Jacob Davis' regiment, to take part in the expedition to Tiverton, RI, and served twelve days... He was selectman of Dover in 1793, 1794, 1797, and 1798; in 1793 he was one of a committee of five to hire men for the United States army, who were to hold themselves ready at a minute's warning. In 1794 he was one of the committee to repair the meeting-house; fence viewer in 1796, and in the same year one of a committee to wait upon and notify a similar committee from without the district in regard to lay¬ing out a certain highway After the year 1797 he is called "Lieutenant" in the town books. During the latter years of his life he became insane, owing to a fall from the pole of an ox-wagon. He m. in Dedham, 7 Dec, 1772, Rebecca, dau. of Thomas and Rebecca (Graves) Eames, b. in Framingham, 23 Oct. 1750; d. _____; he d. 10 July 1823. Ch. all b. in Dover.
