She was united in marriage to Elmer Martin in 1880, and moved from Ohio to Union Star in 1882. While living there, she united with the M. E. church at Oak Grove and remained a member of that church until her death. She later moved to Savannah and was married to Aaron Clevenger in 1917. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1935.
Mrs. Clevenger leaves to mourn her loss one brother, W. L. Carr, his family and many loving friends by whom she will be sadly missed.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the First M. E. Church by the pastor, Rev. H. E. Keltner. Burial was made in the Savannah cemetery." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat (Savannah, Missouri), November 27, 1936
