In the 1910 census, Josiah was living in Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland. He was listed as, Josiah C. Culler, a laborer in a brickyard, age 62, born in Maryland, and his two sisters living with him were; Fannie O. B. Culler, a tailor, age 54, and Mary E. Culler, a nurse, age 42, both born in Maryland.

Josiah Calvin Culler died at the home of his sister, Miss Mary E. Culler, 240 East Church Street, Thursday night at 10 o'clock, after an illness of six days, 78 years of age. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emma C. Hargett, of Baltimore, and Miss Mary E. Culler, at home, and two brothers, Charles C. Culler, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and John J. S. Culler, of Spokane, Washington State. Funeral Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. M. E. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
