Rev. Charles Lee Arnold, 82, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his home.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Evangel Christian Fellowship, 1421 Graham St., Rocky Mount, NC 27803 with Rev. Randall Lawrence officiating the service.

Charles was a minister for 58 years and pastored at 7 churches in 3 different states. He loved God, his family, his church, his congregation, and all his friends. He was a faithful servant of God with a heart for missions. He enjoyed wildlife, bird watching and telling stories of his youth. He had a very special place in his heart for his grandsons Will and Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deck Dillon Arnold and Maggie Gladys Arnold; his siblings, Claude McNeal Arnold, Samuel Houston Arnold, Mittie Ellen Arnold, and Edward Wallace Arnold.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Arnold; daughter, Carol Causeway and her husband, Robby; son, David Arnold and his wife, Kim; grandchildren, William Causeway (Kristin) and Dillon Arnold (Sadie); great grandchildren, Garrett, Richard and William; and siblings, Lois Lyons (James), Sarah Martin, Larry Arnold (Lindsey), William (Patty) and Debra Arnold.

The family would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice in Tarboro for all the help, support, and kindness that they showed during his illness.

Visitation will be at 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Evangel Christian Fellowship.
