Marilyn Janet Sanchez passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023 at the age of 71. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
She is survived by her husband, JC Sanchez, her son, Chris Danos and wife Julie, her daughter, Jennifer Dier and husband Joey, her bonus son, Marty Sanchez, DVM and bonus daughter, Lynn Sanchez and her sister, Marjorie "Jean" Duhon.
If you were lucky you got to call her "Gram", she is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicholas Danos and his girlfriend Kaleigh Dimaio, Jesi Dier and her fiancé Daniel Moore and Madi Dier and her boyfriend Christian Lee, her bonus grandchildren; Trey Clement and wife Meghan and Amber Clement and fiancé Derrick McClelland, her great-grandson Houston Danos and her bonus great-granddaughter Elise Clement.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Marjorie Barbera and her brother Charles Barbera.
She was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Marilyn loved being outside, either you could find her sitting on her porch, tending to her flowers or cooking in her outside kitchen. She was such a fun loving person and always enjoyed music and dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Gram would do anything for those grandbabies of hers.
Her kind heart and warm smile will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 starting at 9:30am, the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 Noon. The interment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joey Dier, Nicholas Danos, Daniel Moore, Christian Lee, Marty Sanchez, DVM and Trey Clement.
