Linda Ann Buckner, Indianapolis, died on January 9th at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Seymour, Indiana on May 10, 1948, to Fred and Helen Wilcox. She was a 1966 graduate of Seymour High School and a 1970 graduate of Ball State University. She received her graduate degree from Butler University.

Linda was a doting grandmother to four grandchildren, Kody and Shelby Propps and Aaron and Will Buckner.

She was a dedicated and passionate educator who touched the lives of every person she worked with, taught, and counseled in her 25 years in the Lawrence Township School District and Craig Middle School. After retiring, she actively served as a volunteer with the Assistance League of Indianapolis and as a Stephen Minister with the Stephen Ministries at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fishers.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mom, Grammy, band parent, mentor, friend, co-worker, and neighbor.

Linda adored watching basketball and football at every level, playing golf and Euchre, planning themed parties for her family, shopping, lunching with friends, traveling, and listening to music outside on summer nights.
