Ileen Markey, 85, of Wilmington, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 27, 1918, she was the daughter of Clarence and Bessie Christian. She formerly lived on farms in the Farmersville, Greenville and Dayton areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; and a brother, Kenneth.
Survivors include two sons, Stan (Jennifer) Markey of Lynchburg, Ohio, and Don (Jill) Markey of Clermont, Fla.; a daughter, Jane (Steven) Blue of Paducah, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Christian Jr. of New Carlisle; and a sister, Virginia Cripps of Mission, Texas.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 3, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev. J. Herman Bassler officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
