Janice Fayette Goins Perkins, age 74, of Niota passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Janice was a native of Maryville and longtime resident of McMinn County. She was a daughter of the late William Taylor and Ruth Gregory Goins. She was also preceded by her sister Bobbie Goins.

Janice was a member of Hillsview Baptist Church in Louisville, TN. She had worked as a Dispatcher for the City of Athens and previously was employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years Jimmy Perkins of Niota;

Daughter Mishyll Perkins of Niota;

Sons Hank Wilson Foirster of Friendsville, Darby Shane Foirster of Knoxville, James Wilson Foirster (Lori) of Sierra Blanca, TX, David Lee William Perkins of Niota, and Cody Lee Perkins (Taylor) of Athens;

Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren;

Brother David Goins of Nashville.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM, Sunday January 15, 2023, at Niota Cemetery with Rev. David Walden officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM - 3 PM Sunday prior to the graveside service.
