William A. Critser was born 31 May, 1841, at Decatur Co., IN. His father, Henry, was born 8 July, 1793, at Harrison Co., West Virginia. William's mother, Abigail Robertson Edwards, was born 11 November, 1787, probably in Allegheny Co., Maryland. They were married 15 September, 1816, in Warren County, Ohio.

William and Sarah L. Miller Critser made their home near Waldron, in Shelby Co., IN.

William A. Critser died 14 July, 1909, in Waldron. Sarah L. Miller Critser died there 10 July, 1916. Both were buried at Ogden Cemetery, which is now called Van Pelt Cemetery.
