Mr. Donald B. HENDERSON was a native if Birmingham, Alabama and was a member of the Lions Club and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. He was the President of the Holy Name Society and Homewood Little League. Was co-owner and Secretary-Treasury of Commercial Dry Wall Inc. from 1961 - 1979. A Navy veteran of World War II.


Survivor's include Pauline V. [Szulinski] Henderson. He had three (3) children; Donald Bernard Jr. (New York), Eugene Joseph, and Edward Paul; and a brother, C. Eugene all of Birmingham; four sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Brown (Atlanta); Mrs. M. Sue Cornelius (Pinson); Miss Patricia Henderson (Birmingham) and Mrs. Martha Jo Long (Huntsville).

He raised all three in catholic private schools, being, Our Lady of Sorrows Grammer School and John Carroll High School. Of his three (3) sons, Don B. Henderson Jr. worked with Commercial Drywall during his summer days while attending The University of Alabama. He knew that construction was hard work which modivated him to attain his JD Degree in Law.

During the Vietnam War, he served as an Officer in the The United States Air Force, [USAF] Reserves. He was stationed in California with JAG.

His career started with The Sirote Law Firm. While at Sirote, his reputation begain to be known as one of the respected attorneys. He was a member of the State Democratic Executative Committee in the late 1970's. He furthered his career with Dewey and Leboeuf Law Firm. Mr. Henderson had extensive expertise in insurance merger and acquisition transactions and related insurance regulatory matters. His experience encompassed purchases and sales of businesses, including both stock and asset transactions, and purchases and sales of specific blocks of business

He is currently Member [s] of the Alabama and New York Bar Association.

Mr. Henderson would be very proud of of what Don Jr. has accomplished after his passing.
