Mrs. Ethel Marie Schutz, 45, wife of John Schutz, died from a cerebral hemorrhage at 8:40 Thursday morning, a few minutes after she had been admitted to the Home hospital in Lafayette. She had been stricken with the hemorrhage in the driveway of her home, north of town on the Bailor farm, only a little more than an hour before her death.
She was born in Tippecanoe county, Sept. 29, 1903, the daughter of George H. and Florence Roberts Edris, and in 1923 was married to John Schutz. Surviving are the husband; four children, Mrs. John Hall of Frankfort, Mrs. Merideth Crum of Michigantown, and Florence and Jimmie at home, the former a senior and the latter a fourth grade pupil in the Mulberry schools; her father, George Edris of Atlanta, Ind.; a brother, William Edris, also of Atlanta, and a sister, Mrs. Jeanette Stipp of Indianapolis. Jerome Edris of Mulberry is an uncle.
The body is at the Kleinsmith funeral home, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Dayton Presbyterian church, the Rev. J. E. Boase officiating.
