Julia Ann Hunt, 66, of Cheyenne, died on January 1, 2023 in Cheyenne.

She was born on June 8, 1956 in Garland, Texas.

Julie was born in Garland, Texas where she grew up and lived most of her life. In 2014, she moved to Cheyenne Wyoming to be near her daughter and grandchildren.

If you knew Julie, you loved her and were in awe of her strength and courage as she fought her way through nine years of a health battle that eventually took her away from us on January 1, 2023. During that time, she survived a double lung transplant, kidney transplant, and heart failure. She has been an incredible example of kindness, love, and patience in the midst of extreme adversity. Her friends and family treasure the memories of her infectious laugh and her generosity through random acts of kindness within her community. Her favorite pastime was playing slot machines at Black Hawk. She gained the nickname "Casino Fairy" due to sharing her winnings with others.

She is survived by her children Misty Savage (Jon), Johnathan Ford (Cindy), and Rayney Ford (Eric) her siblings, Ronald Myers, and Kathy Tucker, her grandchildren, Joshua Christie, Savannah Christie and Teagin Savage.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Burton Myers, mother, Bettye Lockett, and husband Alan Hunt.

As per her wishes, no services will be held. Family and friends will gather in celebration of her life at a date TBD.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Julie's name to Climb Wyoming, an organization she loved dearly.
