Obituary
Patricia "Pat" Gallegos, 81 of Dalhart, passed away on September 20, 2022. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00am Monday, September 26, 2022 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Lawrence John celebrating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm on Sunday at the church. Mrs. Gallegos will lay in state from 1-5:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.

Patricia Gallegos was born October 12th, 1940 to Tom and Cora Vargas. She attended Dalhart High School. She was very active and loved playing sports but especially softball a sport she played until she was almost 70 years of age. She was a teacher's assistant at XIT secondary school she loved working there and the children she helped, she was beloved by the kids she mentored.

Patricia had 5 children, Michael, Deborah, Louis (Eyvonne), Patrick and John (Belinda). She had 6 grandchildren, Phylicia, Amanda (Jose) Ryan (Susie), Jacob (Jackii), Seth (Ayrika) and Chase and 10 great grandchildren, Lexie, Jaylon, Adrian, Janson, Taylee, Kye, Silas, Milo, Alivia, Athena.

Patricia had seven siblings, Albert, Belle, Clara, Jean, Mary, Tommy Joe, and Catherine and many nieces and nephews.

She was loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Her lively spirit will be deeply missed. Our family though saddened by her sudden loss, is relieved she is at peace and with our Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Cora, and sisters Mary and Jean and brother Albert.
