Funeral services for Avis Adell French Sessums, age 82, were on Saturday February 17, at 2 pm, from Lucern Congregational Methodist Church with internment in the church cemetery. Rev Seibert Killen and Rev. Jeff Hall officiated.
Mrs. Sessums died February 16, in Laird Hospital. She was a member of Lucern Congregational Methodist Church and a retired sleever at Midland Shirt Factory.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Dorothy Lewis of Madison, Brenda Watkins of Decatur, 5 sisters: Carrie Shealy of Meridian, Lorene Gill of Union, Claudine Taylor and Virginia Cappiali of Hopewell, Va. And Juanita Brewer of Hattiesburg. 2 brothers: Luther French of Union and Gleason French of Petal. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Darwin Sessums, Willie H French, Jackie French, Robbie Pearson, Earnest Ladd and Max Sessums.
