Edward Foster Cundiff, 74, of 1826 Georgia Ave., died at 9:30 p.m., Aug. 10, 1949, at St. John's hospital following a long illness.

Mr. Cundiff was a resident of Springfield for 48 years and moved here from Louisville, Ky.

He retired several years ago after being employed for many years by the Illinois Power Co.

He was a member of the Second Church of Nazarene.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; four daughters, Mrs. Chester Lefever, Mrs. Arnold DeJong, Mrs. Ben Miller and Mrs. Edna Allen, all of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Four stepchildren also survive, Mrs. Frances Ostermier, of Taylorville; Thomas Vernon Jenkins, of Alton; Lloyd Eugen Jenkins, of New York; and Louis Delbert Smith, of Springfield.

Funeral services were at the Staab funeral home.

Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
