Billy Gene Barger, 77, of Cottondale, Alabama died on December 23, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Services will also be held on December 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Bro. Al King officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Eugene and Bernice Barger; sisters Margaret Crowder, Ruth Norwood, Eloise Dockery, and Brenda Boyd; brothers Clarence "Bud" Barger, Leo Barger, David Barger, James Barger, and Bobby Barger; father and mother-in-law, Richard "Buddy" and Zella Fay Kline, and son-in-law, Timothy Price.
