She was married to Chrles P. Johnson, August 15, 1866. They came to Greenwood County, Kansas in 1882, and settled on a farm near Thurman, later moving to Eureka.
To this union thirteen children were born. The husband and five children preceded her in death.
Those living are Mrs. Cassie Springstead and J.N. Johnson of Madison; Mrs. Effie Whitehead and Herman Johnson of Eureka; Floyd Johnson of Hoisington, Kansas; Mary J. Clinton of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Mrs. Bess Phipps of San Fernando, California; twenty-four grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, James Mustard of Wichita, and a host of relatives and friends.
She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church when a girl and also was a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge.
He husband passed away in 1914 and since then most of her time she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Cassie Springstead of Madison.
Funeral service were conducted Saturday December 28, at the Methodist church in Eureka, by Rev. Phillip D. Novell, passtor. Carl Kersher, accompanied by Clara Jackson at the organ, sang "Lead Kindly Light." and "In the Garden." Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
