Hans Kirkeng, 71, died Friday in a local hospital.
Kirkeng farmed in Bells Coulee for several years, and in recent years was employed by Erickson Hardwoods, He was born on Fish Creek Ridge, Monroe County.
He was preceded in death by his wife Malvina, three brothers, Sidney, Bennie, and Stephen and his sister Mrs. Marianne Hauer.
Survivors are three sons, Cornelius, Herbert, and Richard, three daughters, Beatrice (Bennie) Anderson, Mildred (Karl) Haverly, and Hilda Kirkeng, two brothers, Carl of Rockland and Melvin of Santa Barbara, California, four sisters Annette Gullickson of Rockland, Ida Erickson of Jamestown, N.D. and Susanna Fossing, Sparta, and Lillian Gaylord of Elroy,
