GAYLE NORMAN COLLINS
March 17, 1934 - December 27, 2022

Gayle Norman Collins passed away December 27, 2022 at the age of 88. Gayle was born March 17, 1934 at home in Stockton, MO. He spent most of his working life as a professional pilot and returned home for good to Stockton in 1974. Gayle was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, loved to have fish fries and playing guitar with family and friends.

On September 8, 1946 at Hopewell Church under the preaching of Granvil Budd, Gayle was gloriously saved. Many years later in the living room of Pastor Denzel McCall, he again found his way back to the grace of the Lord and never looked back. He often referred to himself as the "Prodigal Son" found in Luke Chapter 15 and actively attended Stockton Missionary Baptist Church.

Gayle was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Pete) and Mildred (Baumgardner) Collins and brother Charles Collins.

He is survived by sister Mary Eileen (Collins) Stockstill & husband Larry of Pleasant Hill, MO.; brother Terry Collins of Sherwood, AR: sons Marlon and wife Rita Collins of Stockton, Monty Collins of Collinsville, OK, Chad and wife Christy Pyle of Stockton and Todd Pyle of Stockton along with many grandchildren, nieces & nephews and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6-7 p.m. at Bland-Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, MO. Services will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm. followed by burial at Alder Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stockton Missionary Baptist Church.
