DORCHESTER – Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Trenton for Claude L. Head, 63, of Dorchester, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday at 6:30 p.m. while visiting friends in Whitesboro. Mr. Head lived in the Whitewright-Trenton area until nine years ago when he moved to Dorchester. The Rev. Paul Aiken of Atlanta, Ga., Baptist minister, and the Rev. H. D. Caraway, Methodist minister, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery, directed by Earnheart Funeral Home. Mr. Head was born May 9, 1894 in Fannin County, a son of the late George and Ada Head. In 1913, he married Miss Cynthia McCollom at Blanton Chapel. Mrs. Head died in 1928. Survivors are one son, Roby N. Head of Phoenix, Ariz.; five daughters, Mrs. Perry Aiken of Snyder, Okla.; Mrs. Robert Burrow of Sherman, Mrs. Opal Lee Pitman of Trenton, Miss Marjorie Nell Head and Mrs. James Hill, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven brothers, Tom Head of Bonham, Bonnie Head of Dallas, R. T. Head of California., and Lewis Head, O. E. Head, Grady Head and Ira Head, all of Whitewright; three sisters, Mrs. Hubert Ford and Mrs. Charlie Wright, both of Whitewright and Mrs. Homer Walker of Norman, Ark., and 11 grandchildren.
