James Hartwell Bruckner, 85, of Senatobia, MS, passed away at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, MS, on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Mr. Bruckner was born in Askew, MS, on December 24, 1936, to Flora Evelyn Ilene Holliday and James Leroy Bruckner. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Bruckner was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for approximately sixty years. He loved his church and was a dedicated servant. He loved growing tomatoes and gardening, and enjoyed travel maps, geography, and traveling. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Left to cherish is memory is his loving family, which includes his wife, Clara Sue Ivy Bruckner of Crenshaw, MS; two daughters, Robin Gautier (Kenneth) of Senatobia and Wendy Collums of Hernando; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bobbye Battle.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Senatobia, MS. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Latter-day Saints Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Senatobia Chapel is honored to have charge of arrangements.
