James 'Jim/Jimmy" Hill, 86 years old died December 22, 2022.
Jimmy was born in Providence on December 8, 1936 and was the son of the late James and Edna (Hadley) Hill.
Jimmy enjoyed participating in many organizations and programs. Jim especially loved Special Olympics, where he achieved many medals and made it to The Hall of Fame.
He was a member of Providence College Adult Literacy Program, Best Buddies, Salvatore Mancini Senior Center and Self- Advocacy Groups. Jim was a faithful man, sharing his love for the Lord with the congregation at Woodlawn Church in Pawtucket, where he was a longtime and loved member.
Jim enjoyed playing pool, bowling, and a variety of sports, such as baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, sailing and traveling.
Jimmy worked at Shaw's Market and the Dunkin Donuts Center, where he sold popcorn and cotton candy. He loved "Ringing the Bell" at his seasonal job working for The Salvation Army to help those in need.
He is survived by many cousins.
