Rosemary Driftmyer, beloved wife of Carl David Driftmyer, passed into eternity on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Rosemary was born August 18, 1933 to Lawrence and Florence Musser of Pemberville, Ohio, the middle child of five daughters. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband Carl and sister Bonnie.

Rosemary and Carl enjoyed 65 years of married life together. They have four children: Victoria (Clifford) Krynock of Jacksonville, Florida; Valerie (Randy) Miller of Port Clinton, Ohio; Daniel Driftmyer of Phoenix, Arizona; and Brian Driftmyer of Columbus, Ohio. There are also fourteen grand-children and eighteen great grand-children who loved her and celebrated her life.

Because loving and serving others came easily, Rosemary volunteered to serve in the community by faithfully donating blood, helping at the voter's poll for years and assisting the Head Start program during the time they were fostering children. Later, both Daniel and Brian were adopted into their family. Rosemary served in churches by singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School, and was always in the kitchen providing food for various events.

Rosemary also donated her time to mission work. Even though she didn't like to fly, Rosemary travelled to Haiti and worked in an orphanage. Later in life, Rosemary and her late husband, Carl, developed a love for the people of Kenya, Africa. They gave significant financial support and also travelled twice to remote areas in Kenya. There they traveled rough, where there were no roads, to visit the Pokot people to celebrate projects they helped finance through their daughter's missionary organization. While in her 70's Rosemary even slept in a tent on the ground with armed guards circling for protection!

Rosemary has remained a long-standing member of Chapel on the Lake church until she moved to Florida living with Victoria for two years before returning to Ohio as a resident of Countryside Manor. Rosemary's love for the Lord was evident in the ways she loved and always served others without hesitation.

Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Hall officiating. Interment will be 10:30 am Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Pemberville Union Cemetery, Fish Rd., Pemberville, Ohio
