Stafford Lee Nance, age 44, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Nance of Boxwood, Va., died from pneumonia at the hospital in East Radford on Sunday morning, May 10. Mr. Nance was operated on for appendicitis Friday night. The operation was considered successful until peritintis and pneumonia set in from which he died. Mr Nance leaves a widow, two sons, three sisters, four brothers, and a mother and father to mourn his loss. The deceased had been employed by the Norfolk and Western railroad for about 18 years. Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased's father, J. R. Nance of Boxwood, Va.. Interment was in the family cemetery on the farm.
