Lola "Pearl" Boydston, age 90, of Clovis, NM passed away December 21, 2022. Visitation will be held on December 27, 2022, at The Chapel of Angels, 1430 Thornton St., Clovis, NM from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Services to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Lawn Haven.
Pearl was born on December 14, 1932, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Roy and Mary Finley.
Pearl was raised in Oklahoma, Texas, and Dexter, NM. She married Haskell "Hack" Boydston in 1951. They enjoyed camping, traveling to music festivals, particularly the Bob Wills festival in Turkey, TX, and square dancing across many states. Pearl and Hack enjoyed 59 years of companionship before Hack's death in 2010. After losing her life-long companion, Pearl settled in to quilting and cooking. She hand-quilted many beautiful quilts. Pearl loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking for anyone that came to visit. Pearl worked as a nursing assistant in Clovis and Portales.
Survivors include three children; Shirley (George Lark) Prothro of Clovis, NM, Curtis (Connie) Boydston of Chandler, AZ, and Robbie Allred of Clovis, NM, one sister; Marie Wilkinson of Wilson, OK, six grandchildren; George Michael Prothro, Patty (Alicia) Leal, Nariq Boydston, Dara Boydston, Addison Allred and Dalton (Kaci) Hahn, and three great grandchildren; Lark "Oliver" Prothro, Jude Prothro and Maverick Leal, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by; her parents, her husband; Haskell "Hack" Eugene Boydston, and her brother; Robert "Bobby" Finley.
