Mr. Clark was a native of Mathews County, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1990 he retied from the Newport News Shipyard after 30 years of service as an electrician.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles H. Clark Jr., and three brothers, Rufus Clark, George Clark, and Frank Clark.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret; a son, Arthur Clark; four daughters, Betty Richardson, Marjorie Brooks, Charlotte Taylor, and Sandra Bell; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Poplar Wood Cemetery, Cardinal.
