April L. Colburn, age 45, of Broseley, MO, died Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Colburn was born September 26, 1977, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to Jerry Parson and the late Barbara Parson. She was lovingly referred to as "The Crazy Cat Lady." She was a devoted wife and mother, and a strong advocate for Autism Awareness. On January 19, 2002, she married Charlie Jason Colburn. He survives. Also surviving is her son: Landon Colburn of the home; her father: Jerry Parson of Broseley; and two siblings: Kayla (Jody Ruminer) Parson of Poplar Bluff, and Travis (Casey) Parson, Broseley, MO; four nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn Ruminer, Brent, Alexis, and Alex Parson; her mother and father in law: Gwen and Hugh Dale; sister and brother in law: Heather and Todd Ledbetter; and her best friend of 35 years, Ahleana Burton. She was preceded in death by her mother: Barbara Parson. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Whitlock officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
