Lorene Elizabeth Bailey Sinsel was born July 1, 1928 in Poole, Nebraska.
She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 27,2022 at
Waverly Place Assisted Living & Memory Care; in Albany, Oregon.
She lived a long life to the age of 94 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was the
daughter of Selden and Addie Bailey.
Lorene went to school in a one room schoolhouse for nine years in Dunning,
Nebraska. She started high school in 1943 in Dunning, Nebraska. In the spring of
1946 her family moved to Riverdale, Nebraska where she graduated from high
school in May 1947.
Lorene was united in marriage to Clifford L . Sinsel on November 6, 1947 in Holdrege, Nebraska at the courthouse by a judge. To this union were bom two
children Carolyn and Charles.
Lorene along with her husband and daughter moved to Salem, Oregon in June 1950.
They remained in the Salem area for the next 24 years. She also lived in Woodbum,
Brooks, Dallas and Albany.
Lorene was a devoted Christian and spent everyday reading her bible. She also
enjoyed caring for her family, she learned to sew and made clothes for her daughter
Carolyn and herself as well as shirts for her husband.
In the 1970's she taught herself to quilt from quilting shows on television.
She also enjoyed cooking during the holidays as well as baking.
In her later years Lorene enjoyed traveling with her husband and son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her six siblings.
Lorene is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Larrie) Docken, son Charles (Denise)
Sinsel.
