2 Daughters: Sharon Metcalf of Greeneville and Starr & Mark Ottinger of Greeneville; 2 Grandchildren: Leah Metcalf and Daniel & April Ottinger: 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother & Sister in Law: Guy & Ola Mae Metcalf; Brother in Law and Sister in Law: Don & Sharon Dean
He was preceded in death by wife Thelma Dean Metcalf, Brothers Lattie Metcalf, Herbert Metcalf: Sisters: Ulabell Ball, Goldie Arwood, Patsy Ricker; Parent: Shown & Lola Metcalf

He retired from the Greeneville Light and Power in the 1980's upon which he moved to Florida for 25 years. He returned to Greeneville after the death of his wife Thelma in 2005. He loved being helpful to others and spending time with his family. He was a gentle man whose family will always cherish the sweet memories of him.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 PM Sunday at Jeffers Funeral Service
downtown. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel with Don Dean, Kollynn Hurst, Jason Hudson, and Mike Taylor officiating. The graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery at Tusculum. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday by 10:00 AM to go in procession to the graveside service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers
