Mrs. Martin was born January 17, 1934 in Greenbrier to the late Clarence Robert "C.R." and Addie Marie Ogg Mayo. She was a loving wife and mother. She worked as a receptionist for Roesch Patton Funeral Home and also worked at Baptist Hospital for many years. She was known for her sweet spirit and joyful smile. Mrs. Martin's house was a gathering place for her kids and grandkids from all over the country. She was also known for making the best scalloped potatoes and the love she had for her little dog "Chippy". She was a life-long Elvis fan until she heard Vince Gill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Rufus Martin in 1983; granddaughter, Brooke Nadine Cosgrove Grunnet; and a grandson, Joshua Martin Robbins.
