Billy J. Nicholson (Jean), 75, of 2105 State Park Road, wife for fifty years of Leroy Nicholson, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Billie and Lester Burton.

Jean was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, the Joy Club and the Fidelis Sunday school Class at Mountain Creek.

Also surviving are two daughters, Cindy White and her husband, Ronnie, of Easley and Tootsi Hopkins and her husband, Michael, of Taylors; grandchildren, Leslie Page, Dustin Bailey and his wife Natalie, and Brandon Hopkins; special great-grandchildren, Savannah and Sydney; a brother, David Hood of Florida. She was predeceased by her grandparents, V.V. "Monk" and Mable McCarter.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Shirley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of Tootsi Hopkins, 511 East Mountain Creek Road, but will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
