Mrs. Sarah Case, Jefferson, Dies Following Fall

Jefferson - Mrs. Sarah Alice Case, 88-year-old resident of this place, died yesterday at 10:30 a.m. at Hanover General Hospital following a fall at her home Monday.
Coroner Lester J. Sell attributed death to a heart condition superinduced by the fall, in which she suffered a fractured hip.
Mrs. Case, wife of the late Martin S. Case, was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was the daughter of the late John and Julian Bubb Saltzgiver of this place.
Surviving are: Six children, Mrs. James Rapp, York; Maurice Markle, Winchester, Va.; Ralph Markle, Spring Grove; Samuel Markle, Spring Grove RD 2; Lloyd Case, Spring Grove, and Mrs. William Hamm, at home; five step children, Mrs. Annie Grimm, York; Mrs. William Krebs, Spring Grove RD 2; Adam R. Case, Spring Grove RD 3; Mrs. Edward Hamm and Harry Case, both of Jefferson; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one brother, Eli Saltzgiver, Spring Grove RD 3; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Rohrbaugh, Spring Grove, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, pastor, to officiate. Interment in Zion (Shaffer's) Union Church Cemetery. Sauter Funeral Home, Spring Grove, has charge of arrangements.
