Joel graduated from Grand Haven High School and went on to work as a self-employed contractor, working on many projects in building and construction. He rounded out his construction career at Morris Builders in Rockford.
Joel was talented in wood working. He and his family enjoyed being in the great outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending weekends taking the Jeep on the sand dunes in Silver Lake.
Joel was passionate about giving back to the Grand Haven Community. He and his wife supported Grand Haven High School students' families in need with donations of holiday meals.
Joel and Dannielle enjoyed creating holiday planters, corn hole boards, birch log candle holders, and working on a variety of projects, often times benefiting others."
