Mose Andrew Johnson was born March 18 1932 to Andrew and Allie Mae Johnson in Grapeland, Texas. Mose attended W.R. Banks High School, graduating in 1952. Shortly after that, he moved to Dallas to join his sister, where he later enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. After returning home he attended both Bishop and Richland Colleges.

Mose had several successful businesses endeavors and while managing Johnson Trucking Company. In 1985 he suffered a massive stroke. During his road to recovery he and his wife Barbara became baptized Jehovah's Witnesses in 1987. Mose was zealous about sharing his beliefs.

Mose was preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Allie Mae Johnson; a brother, James L. Johnson; a son, James A. Johnson; a daughter, Ethel M. Pipkins; and grandchildren, Edward A. Johnson and "Spanky."

He is survived by wife, Barbara J. Johnson; sisters, Ethel C. Givens, Victoria A. Parham and Robbie M. Willis; brother, Kenneth F. Johnson; 7 children, 18 grand children, 16 greatgrandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren plus a host of relatives and friends.
According to the funeral home, the following services have been scheduled: Visitation, on November 22, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., ending at 8:00 p.m., at Memorial Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX. Service, on November 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1511 North State Highway, Palestine, TX.
