He received his education in the public schools of Terrell County, where he was an active football player and played the trombone, graduating with the class of 1972.
Rock worked several jobs, but his favorite was at Dawson Motor Company, where he worked as a detailer.
On Monday, November 28, 2022, the angel of death visited our dear "Holley Rock" at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia. Our faith comforts us in knowing that he is at peace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rufus and James Holley; a son, Laderrick Chappell.
