Maurese "Reesie" Petree, 79 of Midland, passed away on October 24, 2022.

Reesie was born August 23, 1943 in Midland, Texas to Everett "Seldon" and Norma "Nonnie" Simpson. Reesie earned a RN degree, a bachelor's degree and was working towards a master's degree. She spent 30 years providing exceptional nursing care to her patients in Longview, Texas before moving to Midland where she worked as a cardiac care nurse. She married Jesse Petree in 1999 and they spent 23 loving years together.

Reesie is survived by her devoted husband Jesse Petree, Son Taylor Miller and his children Reed and Harper Miller, Jesse's children, Toni Isbell and her children Katie Coit, Tanner (Jordyn) Isbell, Kristen Patrick, and Rusty (Mary Ann) Petree and their children, Taylor, Demi, Harrison and Isabella Petree. Great Grandchildren Landon and Avery Coit, Saylor Isbell and Hagen Patrick who lovingly referred to her as "Spicy". Reesie is also survived by her brother Pat Simpson (Woodene) and their children Dena Melancon, Darla Thompson and Nonnie Simpson.

Reesie is preceded in death by her parents Everett "Seldon" and Norma "Nonnie" Simpson and her former husband Bill Miller.

Reesie enjoyed professional ballroom dancing, racing motorcycles, attending church, fishing, camping and entertaining family and friends at the Brownwood Lakehouse.

The family requests that donations in Reesie's memory be made to the Midland College General Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers with "in memory of Reesie Petree" documented in the memo line. Please make checks payable to Midland College Foundation and send them to Midland College Foundation c/o Jean Jones, 3600 N. Garfield, PAD141, Midland, TX 79705.
