EAST LIVERPOOL — Dorothy A. Adams Brown, 86, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wells Hollow Road, Wellsville, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 13, 2008, at East Liverpool City Hospital, after a lingering illness.
She was born March 7, 1921, in Midland, Pa., a daughter of the late Holly H. and Marie Kathryn (Lampson) Jackson.
Dorothy worked at 9th Street Pottery, as a housekeeper, and as a nurses aide. She was a member of the Destiny House Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one son: Kenneth Adams and his wife, Penny, with whom she resided; one brother: Murl Jackson of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren: Christina (John) Graves of Seffner, Fla., Michelle Adams of East Liverpool, Dorothy (Alex) Ascencio of Newnan, Ga., and David Adams of Negley; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Adams; her second husband, Elwin Brown; a son, Clayton Adams; one sister, Esther Elliot; and four brothers: Rawless, Donald, Billy and Richard Jackson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street, Wellsville, with Pastor Steve Huskey, of the church, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Salineville.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at the funeral home.
