Robert E. "Bob" Moore, 72, of Arcola, died at 1:20 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 18, 2008 at the First Christian Church of Arcola, 311 E. Main Street, with Rev. Harold Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.

Bob was born May 14, 1935 in Arcola the son of Earl and Vernie Taylor Moore. He married Myrna Layton in Corinth, Mississippi on November 5, 1955; she survives. Survivors include his wife Myrna; one son, Bob Moore and special friend Audrey of Ashmore; five daughters, Jana Sue Nacke and husband John of Arcola, Cindy Kite of Jacksonville, Florida, Connie Wood and husband Brian of Van Wert, Ohio, Sally Moore of Mattoon, Sheri Rappe' and husband Randy of Mattoon; eight grandchildren, Darcy Crummey and husband Pat of Van Wert, Ohio, Darren Wood of Van Wert, Ohio, Ashley Rumanek and husband Rob of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Brad Kite of Dothan, Alabama, Jack and Jasie Nacke of Arcola, Ryan and Sydney Rappe' of Mattoon; 1 great granddaughter, Meredith Crummey of Van Wert, Ohio; one brother, Russ Moore and wife Sandy of Gays; and one sister, Mary Lou Roller and husband Bud of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard "Bud" Moore; four sisters, Ruth Romine, Dorothy Oye, Cordelia Russell, Lillian Sanderson; and son-in-law, Brian Hanley.

Bob was a member of the First Christian Church of Arcola and the Eagles Club of Mattoon. He was a truck driver for HumKo Products and SuperValu. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his grandchildren and also enjoyed the afternoon game sessions with his lifelong friends.
